Assam is a state in north eastern India known for its wildlife, archeological sites and tea plantations. Today it is the world’s second largest tea-producing region after China.  It is a landscape of low, wide plains lying on either side of the Brahmaputra River . Our single estate Assam is from the beautiful Koomsong tea estate which is in the eastern part of the state of Assam.  The Doom Dooma river winds its way through the picturesquely located tea garden and contributes to watering the Koomsong plantation. This tea is produced from a beautiful leaf which is very wiry and long, with lots of golden-brown tips.
